The United Auto Workers (UAW) is an American labor union that has Represented the working class of John Deere Des Moines works since August 26th, 1935. Chartered Feb 23rdd 1948.

The committees of Local 450 support the work we do in the community. Roadside clean up, fundraising, and event planning are just a few of the things we do in the variety of committees we have available at local 450.

The Executive board is built up of Elected officials that perform day to day jobs to keep things running smoothly.
We support each other as working women. We plan fundraisers that support a variety of causes. We encourage activism and supporting your fellow union sister. We meet at the union hall on the 4th Thursday of every month at 4pm.

Every Sunday, we mobilize our teams of volunteers to make a real difference. Join us and see what can be accomplished when you get an impassioned team to focus on change.
As the Rec committee we plan events and fundraisers that bring us together as a union. We meet once a month at the union hall on the Tuesday before the general meeting at 5pm.
